Ya know, there are a lot of internet radio stations out there.
How many of them have an actual format?
It seems a lot of the ones out there have a veriety of different music choices.
That's cool if you like that sort of thing, but what if you just wanna hear 50'-70's Oldies, Hot AC, CHR, B/EZ?
Most internet stations are not run like Terestial radio.
Its either do it for fun with so many different formats, with live, local jocks that strive to entertain....
Or do it formaticly without jocks, but good voiceover liners (NO one uses jingles anymore either...)
The Live/Local way is good if you like many styles of music on one station, and like to hear everything as a grab bag. Some jocks run without compression, others run with it.
The other way is great for a format, but doesn't have the jocks. Some again, are run with compression, and some not.
I have yet to se an internet radio run like terestial radio, with a format, jingles, and jocks.
Does that even exist? OR is that why local Am/FM is around.

Stations with variety are good because you can appeal to different people and expand you're listener base. Maybe you should start a station with a formatt.
